Miley’s Amazing Family
We all adore Miley for who she is and what she has managed to achieve for herself, but when you take a closer look at her amazing family, it’s easy to see where she gets all of her talent, drive and star quality from. She is part of a big family, and it seems like every member of the Cyrus family has some unique story to tell. Let’s take a little look into the Cyrus family to better understand our favourite, Miley!
Grandfather
Miley’s paternal grandfather, Ronald Ray Cyrus, played a massive part in her life. The two of them were almost inseparable, and formed a loving family bond that was tragically broken when Ronald passed away in 2006. The crushed Miley hints to this relationship in many of her songs, and the influence her grandfather had on her is clear – she even changed her middle name to Ray in honor of his memory. Not many people know that, because they assume that she did it after her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, but this change is actually a touching tribute to her special relationship with Ronald Ray. He was a Democrat, and managed to shape some of the strong ethics and morals that we see and love in Miley herself
Dad
Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley’s dad, is also a musician, and is famous for his song “Achey Breaky Heart”, which your parents probably love to sing along to. He is a big star in his own right, and has managed to guide Miley in the right direction, often helping her to make difficult career decision. The loving father and daughter often perform together, which is a real Cyrus family treat. With a dad like that it’s no wonder Miley keeps going from strength to strength.
Siblings
Miley is lucky enough to be part of a big family, and she has 6 brothers and sisters in all! Even though some of them are from her parents’ previous relationship, there is a strong bond between all of the Cyrus kids and it seems that there is some serious talent in the gene pool. Trace does vocals and guitar for Metro Station and Brandi is also a guitarist, while Noah is an actress! Wow!
If all of this family tradition isn’t enough, Miley’s godmother is the superstar actress and singer Dolly Parton! Talk about keeping it all in the family. No wonder Miley is doing so great – she has the love and support of all of her uber-talented family!
